Welcome to the website for the Parish of Petite Riviere. New material is added to our site on an ongoing basis. Special events in communities served by our parish are highlighted on the COMMUNITIES PAGE. Brief notes on the Book of Common Prayer calendar for the upcoming week can be found at the left of the PARISH INFO page.

Please note the following change to our worship schedule for Sunday, May 19th, as provided by Rev. Oliver Osmond:

“Many of you will have received a message…about the heating problems at St. Mark’s, Broad Cove. With the forecast of much cooler weather over the weekend than the past few days, the 11 a.m. service of Holy Communion will be moved from St. Mark’s to St. Michael’s, Petite Riviere. The collection will, however, still be given to St. Mark’s.”

Our four historic churches also welcome you when you visit Nova Scotia’s beautiful South Shore. We use the Book of Common Prayer in our Sunday worship and to guide our daily devotions (encouraging daily prayer and daily reading of the Bible). Our hope is to have our minds and hearts and souls shaped by its reformed Catholic theology and spirituality, and to offer worship acceptable to God (if our hearts be right). Join us in worship to praise and give thanks to God.
